Short Guide

English Church, open to the world

Welcome to the new web site for St Andrew’s Church, “the English church” as the locals call it.  We are an Anglican church, part of the Church of England Diocese in Europe, and welcome people of any nationality and Christian denomination to join us in worship.

Whether you are a regular or a first-time visitor to this site, we hope that you will find something of interest.  You may like our FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.  For the latest news, see our blog News from St Andrew’s.

If you are looking at this site on a mobile phone or tablet, it may help to turn the device to landscape mode and/or press a button at the top of the screen to reveal hidden content: pink or green for sidebars, grey for the menu.

Here is a short guide to what we do. See our What’s On pages for a detailed programme.

Open to Visitors

We are open every Friday afternoon from 15.00 to 17.00 for anyone who would like to come in, look round the building, perhaps say a prayer, and meet some church members.  Visits for groups (school classes, pensioners’ clubs etc.) by arrangement with the Chaplain.

Church Services

Every Sunday at 11.00.  Usually this is a Parish Communion service.  About once a month – usually on the first Sunday – the service may be more suitable for children – Family Communion or a shorter Family Service.

Concerts

Friday lunchtimes, 12.15-13.00, by arrangement.  The musicians are often students at Högskolan för Scen och Musik.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals by arrangement with the Chaplain.
