Don’t come to St Andrew’s on Sunday 18 October.  We join the German, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Icelandic, Latvian, Estonian and Hungarian congregations for our annual multilingual service at the German Church on Norra Hamngatan for United Nations Day, with a collection in aid of UNHCR.  This is a joyful mixture of language, music and food from our various countries.  The service is at 11.  If you are bringing food, please come in good time.  The church will be open from 9:30.
I am preaching this year, in Swedish, and would be glad of your moral support!

We shall be decorating the church on Saturday between 10:00 and 13:00, and would be grateful for donations of flowers, fruit and vegetables, both as decoration and for the auction which follows.  (If you can’t come on Saturday, you are welcome to bring your offering with you on Sunday morning, when the children take gifts up to the altar.

The following items are yet to be offered, and we welcome your offer in this regard: Cucumber, Beetroot, Celery, Root vegetables or any fruit.
Ann would like a good balance of fruit and vegetables. Please contact her (ring 031 423864 or email Alan) and let her know what you will be bringing.

Proceeds from the auction will go to Räddningsmissionen for their work with newly arrived refugees.
There is, as usual, a harvest lunch after the service, and we hope that you will be able to stay and enjoy it.
We have a guest preacher: Karin Burstrand, the Dean (Dompröst) of Gothenburg Cathedral.
